Here is the episode text:

Today I'm talking to Kristoffer Lislegaard who's an experimental ambient musician based in Oslo. He works both as a solo artist and also as part of the live improvisational duo Oy. Recently supported Autechre live, released an album and has another on the way with Oy. Kristoffer shows an impressive technical ability, he creates whole instruments and music systems using programs such as MaxMSP while at the same time composes deeply emotive and explorative music.

His latest album Subsupra is drenched in mood and a feeling of wandering liminal spaces. It would fit perfectly into a game such as Silent Hill, but on its own it's a captivating and absorbing listen.

This conversation covers live performance which dives into his remarkably fluid semi-improvisational setup and we also talk about audience engagement and how he connects with listeners online. To kick things off we talk about a video he released a few months ago where he suggests the platforms we use to engage with artists such as YouTube aren't working very well for us as a community.
