New album: Øy - Live
Finally! Øy have a proper release!
If you don’t know already, Øy is my project with the amazing tap dancer Janne Eraker where we make music by using the sound of Janne’s tap dance to control parts of my electronics. The music is fully improvised and a continous conversation and exploration of our combined forces.
We did our first concert as a duo 07.02.2020 and have played many concert since. The album simply called Live consists of 5 recordings from live concerts we did in 2023, and the names of the tracks reflect the venue of the event.
Vinyl
As well as the digital version you can get it on vinyl. We are still waiting for the vinyls to show up after the factory had a bit of a melt down after the summer, but we hope this will be very soon!

As usual with the DIY spirit running strong we did most of the album production ourself. Mastering was done by Christian Obermayer at Strype Audio, cover art was done by Michiel Jansen and the text design was done by Sofie Søndervik Sæther.
Videos
Since the album is all live recordings from actual concerts we have video recordings of each track as well that we will release! The first video can already be watched here. I will publish them all on the blog soon.
